[비즈니스 영어] 화상회의 할 때, 쓰기 좋은 유용한 영어 표현들

1. 화상회의 시작할 때,

  - 상대방 연결이 안 좋아서 지지직거리고 랙 걸린다. 어떻게 말해야 할까?

 Intermediate : I think we have some issues with the internet at the moment. The signal isn't good.

 Business : Internet seems patchy (or Internet is patchy) 

                   Your screen has frozen.

                   There's a bit of delay

 

-  화상회의에서 만나서 반갑습니다.

 Intermediate : It's great to meet you over a video call.

 Business : It's great to meet you virtually .

 

 - 오늘 회의록좀 써주세요

 Intermediate :  Please write some meeting notes today.

 Business : Please agree to take the minutes today.

 

 * MOM이라고도 한다. (minutes of meeting), Please take MOM. 

 

 - 회의 시작합시다.

 Intermediate : Let's start the meeting ! / Shall we start? 

 Business : Let's get the ball rolling !

 

 

2. 화상회의 중

 - 갑자기 상사가 준비 안한 질문을 시킬 때,

 Intermediate : Oh It's difficult and I have (had) no time to think.

 Business : You've put me on the spot. 

 

* 아니면 거꾸로 상사가 So, any thought? 했는데 침묵함. 그러면 거꾸로 여기서

 - I know we're putting you on the spot here, But, OOO, will you start us off ?

 

- 회의하다가 뭔가 최근 동향을 알고 있을 때,

 Intermediate : I'm aware of the latest information on that topic.

 Business : I keep myself up to date that topic.

 

 * 혹은 우리나라에서 자주쓰는 follow up 정도 대신에 She joined meetings just to keep up to date. 으로 사용하면 됨.

- 매출이 증가했습니다.

 Intermediate : Sales have improved since the start of the year.

 Business : Sales have picked up since the start of the year.

 

* 급격하게 오를 땐, surge 라는 표현을 사용함.

* 혹은 massive increase 라고 표현하기도 함.

 

- 장단점이 있는 것 같아요

 Intermediate : I think there are advantages and disadvantages.

 Business : I think there are pros and cons.

- (제가 여기다가 좀 더 말씀드려도 될까요?) 그랬을 때 Yes 말고 할 수 있는 말

 Can I just add something?

 

 Intermediate : Yes sure ! 

 Business : By all means !

 

- 상대방의 의견에 대해 공감할 때, 

 Intermediate : I know what you mean  / I see your points. 등

 Business : I know where you are coming from .

 

 

3. 회의 끝날 때

- (정보가 충분하지 않아서 결정을 미룰 때), 새로운 정보가 올 때 까지 기다려보자

 Intermediate : Let's wait until we have more information.

 Business : Let's keep an open mind.

 

* 저번에 다루었던 I need to wrap my head around it 은 정보를 더 원하지 않는 상태에서 그냥 결정을 미룰 때 사용하는 표현이다. 혹은 I need to think through it 정도로 표현할 수 있다.

 - 오늘 회의 요약해봅시다.

 Intermediate : Let's summerize 

 Business : Just to recap. 

- 다른거 또 있나요?

 Intermediate : Anything else?

4. 기타단어

  - 요약해드릴게요

 I'll summarize the main points -> I'll give you an overview

 

  - 제휴 마케팅 (커미션 받고 플랫폼 혹은 인플루언서 등이 뭔가 광고를 더 해주는 것)

 Affliate program (Affliate marketing)

  - 검색 상위 노출 되다

 Intermediate : we are exposed on the top line of search engine

 Business : We achieved a higher search ranking.

 

  - 디테일은 잘 모르겠지만, ~

 Intermediate : I don't know the details of it, But...

 Business : I don't know the ins and outs of it, But..

 

 - Moving Forward 

지금 회의를 했고, 그 다음 단계로 나아가기 위한 next step을 위해서 하는 말

 ex) So, Moving forward OOO, can you do some ~
